Tim Peterson

Tim is a landscape architect who specializes in design control and construction phase services, working closely with the client and contractors from the bidding phase through final punch-list inspections. Before joining SWA, he worked for several landscape design-build firms, on both the construction and project management sides. This varied experience gave him the ability to understand design at a practical level—to assess what can be built over what period of time; to forecast budgets—and taught him the importance of building strong relationships with contractors (“key in our industry”). Since joining SWA, he has been responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars worth of construction, with many award-winning results.

Hardscape-intense projects with high detail; figuring out a way to get the contractors to perform at their highest level and to take a personal interest and pride in their workmanship.
